One of Cinevilla’s indoor filming pavilions holds a collection of props and costumes used in films that were made in Cinevilla. There is also a photo exhibition of “The making of Defenders of Riga”.

The pavilion also holds an old fashioned bar made especially for the filming of ‘Defenders of Riga’. At the bar visitors can watch the making of ‘Defenders of Riga’ and find out more about filmmaking and the Cinevilla movie village. The movie tells about the actors’ and the filmmakers’ experiences during the filming, the various opportunities the movie village offers and reveals secrets behind fight scenes and special effects.

The grand area of this indoor pavilion offers great filming possibilities. One of the stationed decorations in the pavilion is a fragment of Cinevilla’s church tower.

One of the most interesting elements in the movie village are the prop vehicles – trams and different historic cars. In the movie village there are two armored cars – FERDINAND and MAX, as well as a Russo Balt fire truck and an ambulance car. All of the vehicles have been built based on archive materials and photographs from the beginning of the 20th century and are historically accurate reproductions. Unlike the real vehicles these are made out of lighter materials more appropriate for filming.

Also on display there is an exposition of historic military machinery for use in movies and video projects. The exposition represents the kind of technical resources that were available in the 1960s and 70s.

In the movie village there are also movable props like pole posters, a canon and smaller ones like stone poles and sand sacks. They are on display in all of the open-air territory. Historic props specially made or carefully sourced are held in the warehouse. They serve to create an authentic and historically correct environment.

All of the props are for rent.

The “Flying House” for children is opening soon at Cinevilla.

The “Flying House” will be a place for children to play all day long and activate their imagination in.
